Twenty‑six years on this island
ODS Construction builds and looks after homes on Eleuthera. We're based in Palmetto Point, we self-perform most of what we do, and the owner is on site.
Palmetto Point, Eleuthera
Who we are
ODS Construction is a family-run builder working the length of Eleuthera. We build new homes, renovate and extend existing ones, put in concrete pools, replace roofs, build docks, and maintain properties for owners who aren't on the island year-round.
Most of our clients are American, British and European owners building or keeping a house here. Many of them are several thousand miles away for much of the year, which shapes how we run a job more than anything else does.
Finish carpentry, self-performed
We do the work ourselves
Most contractors this size are really coordinators — they win the job and then hand each piece to whoever is available. We don't work that way. Our own crews do the structural work, the plumbing, the mechanical rough-in, the tile and the finish carpentry.
It's the single biggest reason our schedules hold. When the crew works for us, the sequence is ours to control, the standard is ours to set, and there's one company answering for the result instead of four pointing at each other.

What twenty‑six years here teaches you
Experience on this island is mostly specific knowledge, and none of it transfers from the mainland. Which sites take a truck and which take a barge. How long a container really takes out of Miami. Which suppliers deliver and which will leave you waiting. What salt does to the wrong fixing over five years. Where the rock starts.
It's unglamorous, and it's the whole difference between a schedule you can plan a flight around and one that keeps slipping.
Who you'll be dealing with
A small team, each with a defined job, and all of them reachable. You won't be handed between account managers.

How ODS started
[CONFIRM — I need a few facts from you to write this properly, and I won't invent them. Roughly: what year did you start out, what were you doing before ODS, and what made you start the company? Three or four sentences is plenty. It's the single most-read paragraph on most builders' websites and it should be in your own words.]
[Placeholder shape, to be replaced: Wallace Sineus started out in construction in [YEAR], working [WHAT]. ODS Construction grew out of [WHAT]. Twenty-six years later the company builds custom homes, pools and renovations the length of Eleuthera, with his sons working alongside him.]

What you can expect from us
- A straight answer about cost, including the parts most contractors leave out
- A written scope, so you know what you are and aren't buying
- A call before the work happens, not an invoice after it
- The same team from the first site walk to the last punch item
- An honest no when a job isn't right for us, or the timing isn't real
